In conversation with John Carpenter before a screening of his film “Escape from L.A.” at the Egyptian Theatre. Aside from his 1996 movie being worth a revisit, the Q&A was particularly thought-provoking. I appreciated Carpenter’s irreverence, his thoughts on finally getting his star on the Walk of Fame, and memories of trying to make the film on a limited ($50M) budget.
